Some iPhone 7 Devices Can’t Stop Hissing

The iPhone 7 has proved that it’s a survivor after passing through a series of stress tests last week. During one of the tests, it was discovered that the Apple device’s camera lens, home button and back are resistant to key and coins scratches.
Due to IP67 ratings for dust and water resistance, all the smartphones that were submerged in water and other liquids came out undamaged. In a YouTube video uploaded by Callux, an iPhone 7 was dropped from a helicopter and remained functional even after its screen cracked.
It’s barely three days since iPhone 7 went on sale and complaints of a particular hissing sound have been emerging from users. Stephen Hackett of 512 Pixels was the first to observe it as he was trying to restore his unit from iCloud.

According to him, the sound was coming from the back of the phone as soon as he picked it from his desk. Once he contacted AppleCare, they promised to replace the device. There are speculations that the problem normally arises from the CPU because it gets worse when the iPhone is under heavy load.

The hissing sound does not affect the overall performance of the device adversely, so this is not a major issue. Apple hasn’t released any official statement concerning the matter.
